DIY Squish & Squeeze Stress Balls for Kids

By Sarah Hauge, Publisher, Macaroni Kid, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Centennial May 19, 2020

Like many kids, my children experience stress from time to time. One of the ways we work through this challenge is by crafting, and we found a particularly helpful DIY project made with a few simple supplies from around the house: the stress ball.

Starting Supplies

  • Balloon
  • Funnel
  • Permanent markers

Pick a Filling

  • firm: rice, beans, marbles
  • softer: flour, playdough, salt, sand, oobleck
  • squishy: slime, water beads

Use a funnel to stuff balloons with the filling of your choice. Add faces with permanent markers to create your own little army of adorable, squishable creatures.
