By Nicole Barragato, Publisher, Macaroni Kid Ann Arbor June 9, 2020

For two days twice a year, Michigan families and friends can enjoy a favorite pastime, fishing! On June 13th & 14th all fishing license fees will be waved. Also a Recreation Passport will NOT be required for entry into state parks and boating access sites during Free Fishing Weekend. Both Michigan residents and out-of-state visitors may fish for all species of fish on both inland and Great Lakes' waters. All fishing regulations will still apply.

The next Free Fishing Weekend will be in the winter on the Saturday and Sunday of President's Day weekend.

Not only is it Free Fishing Weekend and Free to enter state parks, it is also Free ORV weekend. To find out more about that visit here.
