Playground of the Week: Hunt Park

Welcome to Hunt Park! This park features a great view of the city! There is a ton of room to explore as the park sits on nearly 7 acres. The park offers year round activities as the hill is an excellent sledding hill and the field provides an area for informal cross county skiing.

PARKING 

  • Curbside parking is available around the park on Sunset, Daniel, and Spring Streets.

SPECIAL FEATURES & PLAYGROUND NOTES

  • Play-structure features multiple slides, monkey bars, and a bridge.
  • Swings include baby swings (2), regular swings (2), and a tire swing.
  • There is a great mural of the Ann Arbor skyline which makes for a fun photo opportunity.
  • Playground is covered in mulch and dirt. 
  • Full-size Basketball court, Tennis court, Baseball field, and multipurpose field. 






SEATING

  • Park includes 7 benches throughout including a bench at the tennis court, the basketball court, and at the play-structure.
  • The park has 6 picnic tables including two under a shelter.
  • One grill is available on the North side of the park.






BATHROOMS & OTHER AMENITIES 

  • Full-sized bathroom located conveniently near the playground (currently being sanitized and cleaned, twice daily).
  • Drinking fountain is located at the bathroom building (currently is not operating).





TRAILS

  • No trails begin from Hunt Park.
