The Weekly - July 14, 2020

By Nicole Barragato, Publisher, Macaroni Kid Ann Arbor July 14, 2020

🌈 WEEKLY UPDATE ☀️

I am officially back from vacation and attempting to frantically get back into the groove of life. Between the massive amounts of laundry and having a flare up of colitis (too much great vacation food), I am really finding it difficult to get caught up. Also the executive order to wear a mask at all times has really made me quite grouchy. Not the actual act of wearing a mask, but I feel that inevitably the fall is not going to be back to normal. I felt like I had set the goalpost at the fall looking forward to playdates, mom groups, and a normal routine which seems to be slipping away.

Finding contentment in my present situation is proving to be very challenging. I am an introvert, but even I am missing my community. More-so I am missing my routine and my schedule. Creating a schedule based solely at home for some reason does not offer the same satisfaction to me as being out and active in the community with my kids.

Are you feeling the same way? What has helped to bring you out of the discontentment spin cycle?

Hopefully, the great fun that we have for your family this week can help bring you out of a rut if you are feeling like me. This week we are so excited to bring you tons of great ideas themed all around camping! So pull out the tent and camp in your living room or backyard, watch the Parent Trap on Disney+, or explore an amazing park in Ann Arbor.

Hugs,

Nicole
