Michigan Science Center is Offering FREE Admission

By Nicole Barragato, Publisher, Macaroni Kid Ann Arbor August 18, 2020

The Michigan Science Center is currently offering FREE general admission through September, 6th. The science center is open weekly on Thursdays through Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. Families can choose the time they wish to visit the museum by pre-registering here.

The Michigan Science Center includes interactive exhibits, live stage shows, Spark!Lab from Smithsonian, a STEM playground and more. Currently, the Planetarium and the Kid's Town exhibits are not operating.

My family recently visited the Michigan Science Center on a Saturday and there were only a handful of other families. Before we entered our temperature was scanned and everyone used hand sanitizer. All family members wore masks the entire time. Hand sanitizer stations were located throughout and several staff members were cleaning the exhibits throughout our visit.

My girls are preschool age and enjoyed several of the interactive exhibits, but were sad to not be able to play in the Kids Town exhibit. The science center only kept their attention for an hour which was fine considering that admission is currently free. With the current features that are not operating the science center is more appropriate currently for elementary aged children in my opinion.

Parking was easy and we parked in the lot closest to the entrance.
