This week I am so thankful because I did a few things with friends that made life seem a little back to normal. First, I had my homeschool mom friends and their kiddos over for some much needed playtime and lunch. It was so nice to catch up with these moms and watch our kids play and enjoy each other's company.
The next day another friend asked me to a coffee date. It was so nice to sit outside, sip our lattes, and talk about anything under the sun. I so missed these activities over the past six months, but it made them oh so much sweeter this past week. I have been in such a rut dwelling on all that I can't do. Participating in normal events this week seemed so extravagant.
I am really looking forward to Fall and all that it entails. I am hopeful for pumpkin spice lattes sipped in crisp autumn air as the leaves crunch beneath my feet. Taking my girls to pick the most delicious apples and perfect pumpkins for carving. Meeting with my mom tribe in whatever capacity that can be. Gilmore Girls on repeat as my pumpkin cupcake scented candle fills my home. I don't know why, but to me Fall always seems to offer new beginnings. Maybe because I used to be a teacher and it it tough to break that new school year new beginning feeling.
So today I want you to get excited for Fall and all the possibilities that it holds! Make a list, even if it is just a mental one of at least three things that you can get excited for!
