Are you looking for the best spots for fall foliage in Ann Arbor? We are lucky in the A2 area to have so many great spots for leaf-peeping! We've listed our family's favorite places to see autumn leaves in Ann Arbor and beyond! We love hiking and visiting parks, so included those in our list of where to see fall leaves in A2.

Here are my family's favorite spots for leaf-peeping in the A2 area:





Gallup Park

3000 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor

This park includes 69 acres so there is plenty to explore! Hike by foot or rent a canoe or kayak to see the spectacular fall foliage. Be sure to check out the awesome playground if you have children, check out our Mac Kid Review




University of Michigan Nichols Arboretum

1610 Washington Heights, Ann Arbor

View both native and exotic trees and shrubs that create a kaleidoscope of colors! Enjoy one of the richest landscapes in the area as you explore trails and take in the views. Admission is free but for more information on parking visit the university’s parking site




Furstenberg Nature Area

2626 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor

Be sure to check out this 38-acre park that contains wetlands, woodlands, prairie, and oak savannah to see a variety of fall color! This area can be accessed from Gallup Park via a pedestrian bridge. It includes a half-mile paved trail that loops through the park so it is perfect for strollers and trikes!  





Riverside Park

5 E Cross, Ypsilanti

This 16-acre park is in the very center of Ypsilanti connecting downtown and Depot Town. Take in all of the fall colors whether you are biking, fishing, playing on the playground, or walking on the trail. This park is part of the Washtenaw County Border to Border Trail as well as part of the Huron River Water Trail




Pinckney Recreation Area

8555 Silver Hill Road, Pinckney

This state recreation park includes over forty miles of multi-use trails! Whether you are hiking, biking, fishing, or boating there is plenty of fall foliage to be seen! Visit here for a park map.
