Halloween Scavenger Hunt with a Twist

Complete a Halloween scavenger hunt the traditional way or with QR codes

By Nicole Barragato, Publisher, Macaroni Kid Ann Arbor October 27, 2020

I know that we have all heard it... Halloween 2020 is not going to look like the Halloween of years past. So if you are looking for alternatives to the traditional trick-or-treating or just another fun Halloween activity, be sure to check out the MacKid Halloween Scavenger Hunt

🎃👻🕷👻🎃

Traditional scavenger hunt clues or a fun QR code version!

MacKid Pro Tip: Most phones have a built-in QR code reader. Just go into your camera mode and aim at the QR code, but do not snap a photo. You should see a popup at the top of your screen which directs you to the clue.
If your camera on your phone or tablet does not have this feature you can always download a free QR code reader app.

The QR code will then direct your child to the next clue.

There are 12 clues, that include a combination of both indoor and outdoor locations. The scavenger hunt ends with receiving a prize after doing the Monster Mash so you will need to plan ahead to determine what that will be.

Scavenger hunts were always a big hit in my family growing up, so I hope that your family equally enjoys this new Halloween tradition!
