Moscow Ballet Background
Talmi Entertainment has produced and presented Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker in North America and additional acclaimed ballet titles Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella, and more since 1992. Known for presenting award-winning Ballerinas and Danseurs, from Lilia Sabitova in 1994 to Honored Artist of Russia Tatiana Predenia to Andrey Batalov, former Principal Danseur with the Mariinsky Theatre, the company normally performs over 200 engagements during the Christmas season in Canada and the United States.
In addition to public performances, Moscow Ballet’s North America tours include community engagement programs for all ages and interests. The Dance with Us program shares Russian Vaganova ballet training with over 6000 American dance students annually, bringing them on stage in ancillary roles to perform side-by-side with the professionals. Derived from the philosophy of arts enrichment for children developed by Natalia Sats, “New Horizons – A Children’s Program for Life” is a cultural immersion module benefitting thousands of children across the country annually and has been deployed in school districts across the USA.
The Musical Wunderkind program features stand-out American youth musicians performing Saint-Saën’s The Swan alongside Moscow Ballet Principal artists. Many Moscow Ballet performances have a fund-raising component for organizations such as hospitals, children’s museums, and more.
