Every fall my family looks forward to visiting local orchards to pick apples. We enjoy the time together outside in the crisp air, and being rewarded at the end of our picking with cider and doughnuts is always a highlight. I love picking apples because there are so many uses from just enjoying as it is or baking into a pie or a crisp.
