Great Date Night Events in Ann Arbor, Surrounding Areas, & At-Home

Do you remember the last time that you and your significant other had a Date Night? How long has it been since you enjoyed an evening out with friends? If you answered far too long to either of those questions then Macaroni Kid is here to help!

Being a parent is both rewarding and stressful, therefore it is so important to make Date Night a priority. Regular dates can increase communication and strengthen your relationship. Remember happy parents make for happy kids!

Although dinner and a movie are great, here are a few suggestions this month that we consider to be "Babysitter-Worthy" events happening at-home and in Ann Arbor. So wash your hair and put on pants that actually zip and enjoy your evening sans-kids! 

November 13: Kris Kurzawa Quartet

Kris Kurzawa’s versatility has led him to become one of the Detroit areas most in demand guitarists since the early 2000’s; crossing into multiple genres including jazz, fusion, world music and R+B. He released his first album ‘Sly’ in 2016 for which he received his fifth Detroit Music Award. He earned his masters degree in jazz studies from Wayne State University in 2012 and has recently began teaching jazz guitar at his alma mater.

November 14: Laith Al-Saadi - Ark Family Room Series

November 20: Lucha Puerco in YORK's Yard

Lucha Puerco - back to defend their title of Most Pop Ups at YORK - Lucha Puerco will once again impress your taste buds with insanely gorgeous tacos in the Yard. YORK will be slinging wine + beer + specialty cocktails to pair. Come early and snag your spot in the queue - you snooze you lose!

November 21: Jeff Daniels - Online & Unplugged
Online • $20 individual, $30 family • 8:00 PM
Join Emmy award-winning actor, director, singer/song-writer Jeff Daniels, for an intimate concert experience full of original songs, personal stories from his stage and movie career that only he can tell - and plenty of smiles. Stick around for a 15-30 min audience Q&A following the show. The questions submitted will be reviewed, with some then passed along to Jeff for reply.

November 27: Love Actually

Fall under the spell of Love Actually and share the laughs and charm again and again.

November 27 & 28: Sal Demilio
Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase • $15 - $17 • 7:30 PM & 10:00 PM
Sal Demilio’s likeability and charm, mixed with his smooth yet sometimes rapid fire delivery makes him a comedic force to be reckoned with. Sal has been featured on XM/Sirius Radio where his first record­“Fettucini Salfredo” is a well-played on-air favorite. He released his 2nd album in 2018 and has also signed with “On Tour Records” where you hear him on all social media and radio for both of his albums.­ You’ll hear him on radio programs across the country promoting his tour, including the “Bob & Tom Show” and podcasts including his own podcast with his partner Bob Philips called “Sal and Bob Show.”
