🍂 WEEKLY UPDATE 🏈 |
This week we tried to squeeze every possible minute that we could outdoors! Looking at the forecast, I fear that summer might in fact be over. I am looking forward though to pumpkin scented candles and hot apple cider so I guess bring on fall!
The real excitement this week was when my girls caught not one but two frogs. Both times they named it Flowers Sparkles, so they must have been related. Sometimes I find it challenging embracing their girlieness as that is not my personality at all. If it has bows, lace, or is pink then it is right up their alley. They live in dresses and all things glitter. It is so fascinating even at a young age to see their little personalities shine through.
Sometimes at this age it is really fun to dream about all that they might become in the future. I am not sure vocationally what they will aspire to be, but I sure hope that no matter the situation they will chose kindness. I feel lately in particular choosing kindness for myself has been just that a choice. I don't know if it is the months of quarantining and social isolation but I have been downright grumpy. It is so easy for me to now view the world as half empty rather than being full. My husband is forever the optimist and that can just increase my grumpy demeanor.
So I really don't have any solutions to my continued raincloud attitude other than I need to find opportunities to practice gratitude. Here are three things that I am currently grateful for: my fancy, funny, and loving family, warm cups of chai, and new opportunities for meeting mom friends.
